Winteb supplies DN500 for Hong Kong Mingwah - VLOC project in China

Winschoten – At Winteb, the past months were emphasized by some very large orders from two Chinese yards.

These two yards are building six VLOC’s for Chinese owner HongKong Mingwah. Four are built at Shanghai Waigaoqiao and two at CHMI.

Quality vs price

After a period of inquiry and finetuning of the scope of supply, both yards choose Winteb for their vessels.  The Air Pipe Heads  of the first two vessels to be built at CMHI are ready for shipment. Two of the four newbuilds at Waigaoqiao will be supplied at the end of 2017. The other two are planned for delivery in early 2018. In total, 240 pieces DN500 will be delivered, all produced and assembled in Holland.

Winteb is pleased to supply their DN500, since it proofs again that even in China, where price is often the main issue, customers choose the high quality of Winteb Aluminum Air Pipe Heads. It is the largest size that Winteb has delivered so far, however the ready to use design of the WIN2000 HIAS already ranges up to size DN1000! With the constantly growing capacity of vessels and technically evolving ship design, it is only a matter of time to receive inquiries for sizes larger than DN500. When they come, Winteb will be ready.
