WIN2000HIAS PV valve

The WIN2000HIAS PV valve is specially developed for Ballast water treatment systems (BWT). Because the air vent is normally closed, the ballast water tank under the air vent can be kept at a small overpressure with Nitrogen gas or other inert gas in the space above the ballast water. This causes the oxygen in the water to be removed. Without oxygen, marine organisms become asphyxiated and die. This allows the ships to release the ballast water safely in a port without harmful alien species, from small fish to microorganisms.
